The challenge

Display for system control in agricultural technology – very high demands for the surface quality (avoidance of weld lines), surface and symbols are resistant to cleaning and there is a varietyof options and installation of the operating elements with metal bushings.

The solution

Designed as a plastic-metal hybrid component with film back injection moulding. The film, which is pre-printed on the back with symbols and different colours (depending on the variant), is inserted into the injection mould, along with the metal bushings, and then the film and inserts are back-moulded or overmoulded in a single operation.
