Precise simulation for optimum mould and component quality.
Service

During the design process, we use rheological or mould flow simulation to assess the performance of the tool and the process in subsequent manufacturing processes. This ensures optimal parts without the need for time-consuming and expensive mould modifications.

The filling analysis provides precise, reliable answers to all important questions in injection moulding. These include determining the required wall thickness for small parts or detailed structures or the optimum positioning of the sprue points. The designer can use the filling simulation to test whether the mould cavity is filled correctly during production, whether and where weld lines and air pockets can occur and much more.

During the simulation, the designer can select the material from an extensive database of polymers and optionally vary and define the influencing variables of pressure, temperature and time for the simulation. For optimisation purposes, the designer can evaluate the simulation results under various aspects: the flow behaviour of the plastic, filling behaviour, pressures, temperatures and times, representation of weld lines and air inclusions and the warpage behaviour show the expected quality of the finished plastic part in the model.

The most important advantages of injection moulding simulation at a glance

  • Precise prediction of the injection moulding process for component and mould optimisation
  • Precise prediction of the quality of the manufactured plastic part
  • Preliminary simulation of various plastics reveals optimisation potential at an early stage.
  • Pre-definition of the optimum process parameters for subsequent sampling
