Isotactic polypropylene (PP) is a universal standard plastic with a well‑balanced property profile. At a low cost, it offers:
- average strength, stiffness, and impact toughness
- low density
- very good chemical resistance
- exceptional flexural fatigue strength (10 million bending cycles)
- good stress‑crack resistance (better than PE)
- however, very poor low‑temperature properties
Polypropylene belongs to the group of thermoplastics. We process these polyolefins into containers, closures, fittings, filter components, air ducts, and transport boxes.
