Polypropylene (PP)

Isotactic polypropylene (PP) is a universal standard plastic with a well‑balanced property profile. At a low cost, it offers:

  • average strength, stiffness, and impact toughness
  • low density
  • very good chemical resistance
  • exceptional flexural fatigue strength (10 million bending cycles)
  • good stress‑crack resistance (better than PE)
  • however, very poor low‑temperature properties

Polypropylene belongs to the group of thermoplastics. We process these polyolefins into containers, closures, fittings, filter components, air ducts, and transport boxes.
