Perfluoroalkoxy Copolymer (PFA)

PFA is characterized by its resistance to nearly all chemicals and, with an operating temperature range from –20 °C to 260 °C, it is extremely versatile in use. Its pronounced anti‑adhesive behavior and low water absorption make it an ideal material for products used in the chemical industry.

The properties of PFA, which can be efficiently processed by injection molding, are very similar to those of the widely used sintered material PTFE; both high‑performance plastics have a high fluorine content.

These fluoropolymers have low strength and hardness, are resistant to nearly all chemicals, exhibit very high thermal stability, are flame‑retardant (UL 94 V‑0), have a low coefficient of friction, show largely inert behavior, have high sliding wear, and possess extremely low adhesion.
