The challenge

Housing for an angle sensor with an integrated connector for automotive applications – small quantities (variety of variants due to different connector contacts and numbers), sensor housing with overmoulding of plug contacts and customer-specific plug contours, avoidance of damage to the plug contact surfaces, additional insert bushings for component fastening.

The solution

Plastic-metal hybrid component with plug contacts that are inserted into interchangeable cassetes by hand and overmoulded in due to the wide variaty of variants and small quantities, mould design for variants and corresponding mould surface design to protect the contact surfaces.
