The challenge

Intercom system for door communication – very high demands on the surface quality (avoidance of weld seams) at the openings for the buttons without further surface treatment such as painting or coating, assembly of base unit and handset.

The solution

Thanks to the special temperature control in the injection moulding tool, the design of the injection points (using filling simulation during mould design), the selection of a surface structure to be introduced into the mould and suitable process control, such surfaces can be achieved without the need for further finishing such as painting or coating. The assembly of the complete device is fully automated by us and also includes a 100% final inspection for technical function and visual perfection.
