The challenge

Hair clippers for professional use – very high demands on the surface quality, avoidance of weld seams on the openings.

The solution

We were involved right from in the development phase of the component. Excellent surface finishes can be achieved through plastic-compatible design and special temperature control in the injection mould as well as through the design of the injection points (through filling simulations during mould design) with the appropriate process control. These top surfaces are a necessary for further surface treatments such as painting or coating with PVD or chrome plating. If the component quality from injection moulding production is not 100% suitable here, imperfections are even accentuated by painting or coating.
